Consumer confusion over mortgage valuation

A recent online survey conducted by Countrywide Surveying Services highlighted that 4 in 5 consumers still confuse a mortgage valuation with a survey. This reinforces the belief from the industry which suggests that around 80% of brokers, lenders, surveyors and other property professionals believe that this is still the case.
Over 50% of those that participated in the online survey believe an easier way to avoid further confusion is for mortgage valuations not to be disclosed. Also an information pack should be accompanied with legal documents and a survey when a property is marketed.
